 We visited Boulder Ridge Wild Animal Park in Alto, MI yesterday! It was a perfect outing for the age of our kids.

 Ev wanted to take a picture in front of the snakes for Bekah :)

 Then she decided to be brave and touch one! You can not tell from the photo but this was a very big python (8-10 feet long). Judah was happy just to look :)

 This giant American Alligator growled at us when we walked by!

 Evie LOVED feeding the baby goats. All of the animals in the petting area where SUPER friendly and gentle.

 Grandma came along which was lots of fun!!

Judah loved the cow!

Aletta was happy to sit in her stroller and take everything in. It was a fun morning! There was a lot that I did not take pictures of (wagon ride, zebras, bird aviary, big sandbox, etc.) You should check it out if you are in the area!

Aletta: 6 Months

Our little precious is 6 months old! Here is some random info about her:

• She weighed 17 pounds 9 ounces and was 25 inches long at her 6 month check up on Wednesday. I looked in Evie and Judah's baby books and Aletta is just a little bit bigger than Ev was at this age. Judah was quite a bit bigger than both of the girls :)
• We just moved her up to her crib this week and she has been doing well. She sleeps from about 7 pm to 7 am. I will take that! She also takes two naps during the day that are between 1 1/2 and 2 hours long each.
• Aletta loves hanging out in her walker and watching the other two play. It is obvious that she adores Evie and Judah.
• I will probably start her on some solids this month...we haven't done any yet.
• No teeth yet.
• Kyle calls Aletta his little Toad. She has to be the cutest toad ever :)
• Aletta rolls all over the place and can sit up for about 30 seconds at a time.
• We love her and are so thankful to have her in our family :)

Evie the Artist

Yesterday Ev and I were sitting at the table and she asked for a pen and paper to draw. After giving them to her, I went about my business and a few minutes later I looked over to see this drawing. It totally surprised me because up until this point we've never see draw anything besides scribbles :) I'm sure most 3 1/2 year olds could draw this, but it was a first for Ev :)

Aletta Lou: 5 Months

My baby is 5 months! Sometimes I feel like she is still a newborn; I love soaking in all of the little baby snuggles. Aletta is such a sweetheart. She is content to hang out in her walker most of the day, playing with her toys and watching all of the action (there is LOTS of action with the other two :) ).
I had to reschedule her 4 month check up because we got a big snowstorm the day she was supposed to have it. I'm curious to see how much she has grown. I weighed her on my scale a few weeks ago and she was around 15 1/2 pounds. She continues to eat and sleep pretty well. We are currently trying to figure out what the best nap schedule is for her. I would love to get her to two long naps instead of the four shorter ones she is doing now. It will all work out eventually :)

* On a side note, Aletta has a redish tint to her hair which the other two don't have, it is super cute! Now if only her bald spot would grow some hair :)

Evelyn: 41 Months

Evelyn is my "big helper." She thrives off of doing anything she can to help me around the house and with the other kids. One of her favorite ways to help is wrapping up the vacuum cord and putting the vacuum back in the closet for me when I am finished with it. She has recently decided that she is going to live with us forever and marry Daddy :) We will enjoy this while it lasts. Evie LOVES all things Princess. I never really imagined that we would have such a girly girl: we love her! She is doing really well memorizing the children's catechism and LOVES doing her "school." I love this girl :)

Judah: 21 Months

There is never a dull moment around here with Judah Scotty :) He is slowly starting to say a few more words, but he still mainly communicates through grunting and pointing. Judah loves spending his days playing with his best friend Evie. They keep very busy! Judah got some action figures and dinosaurs for Christmas which he has LOVED playing with lately. Kyle thought that he needed some "boy" stuff in the midst of all Evie's girlie toys :)
