38 weeks!

I thought it was about time for a brief pregnancy update :) I am 38 weeks today, yay! Currently Judah is still frank breech (in position for his butt to come out first). This is problematic because if he doesn't turn around soon it looks like I will end up having a C section :( Unfortunately very few doctors are trained to deliver breech babies vaginally anymore. Because of this a c section is lower risk. Tomorrow at 9:00 am I am going into labor and delivery to have an ECV (external cephalic version) done. This is where the doctor tries to manually get the baby into position by pushing around on the abdomen. We are praying that this works! The doctor has given it about a 40% chance of working in Judah's case. The placenta is anterior and in the way so will make it more difficult for him to do the somersault that he needs to do. There is a slight chance that the ECV will put need into labor, break my water or that Judah doesn't tolerate it well. In either of these cases I would probably end up having a c section tomorrow. We are trusting in God's goodness and sovereignty in all of this, knowing that he will not give us more than we can handle. We are extremely thankful that Judah appears to be very healthy and doesn't have any of the growth problems that Evie did. At our ultrasound last week it showed that he was already 6 pounds (Evie was less than 5 at birth). Anyway, we will try to keep this updated as we learn more. Thank you for your prayers!
